Montrose Fire Brigade Open Day - Sunday 14th of October 2012
Montrose Fire Brigade, nestled in the foothills of Mount Dandenong, will be holding their bi-annual Open Day on Sunday the 14th of October.
877-879 Mount Dandenong Rd, Montrose, 9-00 am till 3-00 pm
The brigade officers and fire fighters invite members of their local community and visitors to the Dandenongs, to drop in and share this great family fun event.
The day will be filled with activities for the kids including a visit from Captain Koala, lollies guessing competition, craft activities and fire safe kids sessions.
Mums and Dads will be able to pick up vital Summer Bushfire information and speak with members from the Bush Fire Information Line (VBIL). Peter Hitchener the Australian television presenter will be there between 1pm - 2pm as an ambassador and a great supporter of the Country Fire Authority.
During the day, there will be demonstrations of LPG Flare Off, You will be able to view Montrose's' fleet of fire-fighting vehicles and there will be a presentation on the unveiling of the Montrose Community Electronic Sign.
There will be fund raising Sausage Sizzle and lots of other exciting things to see - take part in the fun.
There will be free coffee available all day from the coffee van.
We would love to see you there from 9-00 am till 3-00 pm.
Street parking available or park in the Town Centre and take a leisurely stroll to the fire station.
